What we collect

Marketing site (this site, gigq.net): We use PostHog (US cloud) for product analytics — pageviews, clicks, and a sample of session recordings (inputs masked) so we can see where people get stuck. No third-party ad cookies. Do Not Track is respected.

App (app.gigq.net): When musicians sign up, we store the data you give us — stage name, email, songs, show metadata. When audience members join a show, we store a first name and a signed session cookie for the duration of the show. We use PostHog product analytics inside the app, including autocapture and a sample of session recordings (inputs masked) to understand UX issues.

What we don't do

  • No ad networks. No Google Ads, no Facebook Pixel.
  • No selling or sharing of personal data.
  • No cross-site tracking cookies.
  • No payment processing — tips go directly through Venmo; we never see card numbers.

Cookies

The marketing site uses localStorage (not cookies) for PostHog's anonymous session identifier. The app uses a signed session cookie to keep you logged in and, for audience members, to remember which show you joined.

Data requests

Want your data exported or deleted? Email [email protected] and we'll handle it within 30 days.

Changes

This policy will evolve as the product does. We'll note material changes on this page. Last updated: April 2026.
